Darren Fernandez is an attorney for the Federal Communications Commission where he is involved in FCC broadcast licensing regulation and compliance in the Media Bureau’s Video Division. His responsibilities include ensuring that broadcast licensees comply with the Communications Act of 1934, as amended, and the various FCC broadcast rules and regulations.

In addition, Darren reviews major broadcast transactions, like the Sinclair/Tribune merger. As quoted in the Spartan Lawyer, Michigan State University College of Law, "I love my job because I enjoy public service work and serving the people of the United States.”

Darren currently serves as the Southeast Regional Governor for the National Filipino American Lawyers Association. He is one of the founding members of FALA DC and served as the organization's general counsel in 2016.

Darren received his Bachelor's degree in Economics from Pennsylvania State University and his law degree from the Michigan State University College of Law. He is barred in Maryland.
