Francis Yu is a founding member of FALA DC and served as its president from 2017-2018. He also serves as chair for the advocacy committee of the National Filipino American Lawyers Association.

 

Francis was born in San Francisco but grew up in various countries throughout Asia before attending college in Washington, DC. A graduate of the George Washington University and the George Washington University Law School, Francis is currently an Attorney Advisor for the Social Security Administration. There, he practices administrative appeals law and assists in the adjudication of disability claims.

 

Francis previously interned for Immigration and Customs Enforcement, the Department of Justice, and the United States District Court for the District of Columbia. Francis is barred in the Commonwealth of Virginia and the District of Columbia. He lives in Arlington, Virginia, with his wife, Jill.
